Age 55, passed away suddenly on Monday morning, February 13, 2017, from cardiac arrest. Bud was born on October 26, 1961 in Ohio Valley Hospital, Kennedy Twp., PA and lived most of his life in Pittsburgh. He worked as a driver for Red Diamond Trucking where he delivered US mail to local Post Offices. He is survived by his loving partner in life, Robin Shelton; his mother, Nancy Rucker and stepfather, Paul W. Rucker; son of the late Lieutenant Bernard L. Schmiedeke, Jr.; also survived by stepmother, Ann Schmiedeke; two sisters, LuAnn (Richard) Sokolovich and Ruth (James) Campanell; four stepdaughters, Mindy Shelton (Dennis Baldinger), Christy (Charles) Bach, Brittany J. Shelton and Chelsey Gildea; three nephews, Shawn (Stormy) Dinger, Jason Dinger and Alexander Schaefer; two nieces, Brenda Dinger and Natalie Schaefer; beloved pet, “Harley Davidson”; and several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins and so many, many friends. Viewing will be held at WILLIAM F. CONROY FUNERAL HOME, 2944 Chartiers Ave., Sheraden on Friday, February 17th from 4-7 p.m. Bud’s family would like to invite all of his friends and family members to join us for a Celebration of Life immediately following the viewing at 7:00 p.m. including dinner, drinks and a special toast to Bud! Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Post 496 at 2863 Chartiers Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15204.
