I met Eleanor when I was working at Carlow University many years ago and she was part of my family.  What a beautiful and caring lady and I had the opportunity to know her.  She was like a grandmother to me and I will always hold that close to my heart.  She would always give me a call to see if I would be attending the Rosie.  I will truly miss her like everyone else in her life.  A remarkable lady for sure and a true blessing.  May God hold you close during this time of grief but no worries because we will see her again.

Our lives have been truly blessed to be included in Eleanor and Al Midgley's extended family over more than two decades. Without ever meeting them Tom Brokaw wrote about them in "The Greatest Generation." Robinson Township, Holy Trinity Parish, Carlow University and so many, many individuals and organizations lived and experienced the power of that generation's love and selfless service through this beautiful couple and the legacy of their wonderful family. Our nation and our faith are stronger today because of them and families like them. The Lord says, "Well done good and faithful servants!" And to that we can alll say, "AMEN!" - Pat and Rita

Eleanor and I became good friends while I was the Alumnae Director at Carlow; she called me weekly and we had long conversations. Such a dear, sweet woman with a big heart and great dedication to service. She always spoke her mind and never held back when she didn't like something! A true Woman of Spirit!!
Thank you Midgley Family for sharing your mother and grandmother with me over the past 16 years. She will be missed by me and so many others whose lives she touched. We are all better having known and interacted with Eleanor.
With sympathy,  Linda M-B

What a beautiful angel that has entered heaven. I'm sure there is a great celebration when she is with her husband again. I am sorry for the loss and ache her children and extended family is feeling. You all have sweet memories and she will be waiting for each of you to meet her in heaven. Love to prayers to each of you. Ellie, let me know if I can do anything.
