I am sorry about your loss. Death is always difficult to deal with, no matter the circumstances. Even though I did not know Dorothy, I try my best to encourage the bereaved with a comforting thought from God's word the bible.
Notice these encouraging words from the bible book of Psalm 37:11. It reads in part, "The meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." This promise provides for all, including those sleeping in death, an opportunity to live forever on a peaceful earth in the future. This gives us a hope of seeing our loved ones again.
I hope this brief thought from the bible provides some comfort. More information can be found at www.jw.org.
