Sundi Tarullo Stein, passed on Monday, February 10th, 2025, one day after her 67th birthday. Sundi courageously lived with juvenile diabetes for 60 years and kidney failure for these last 5. She grew personal strength to keep to the medical plan and not fall to temptations. Her longevity is evidence to that.
It is that spirit of individuality that led her to pursue a career in stage and theater. Her parents agreed with her love of performing arts and watched as she developed a profession starting at the age of 17, well beyond their expectations. Starting in high school her comedic acting style started showing. She worked for Don Brockett’s revue from 1975 through ’77. Then went to West Virginia University on a full scholarship, achieving a BFA in acting. She learned to be a dramatic actress there, performing in Shakespeare plays while performing reviews on the side.
While in college Sundi met and later married George W. Stein and they made Washington DC their home. There she performed for the political satirical group Capitol Steps. Then, she was a resident entertainer at the British Embassy for many years.
Sundi is predeceased by her husband, George, her father, Anthony but is survived by her mother, Marianne (nee Belo), and siblings David (Lisa), Judy Vose (Andrew) and Karen (Roy Lovell). She is survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She has been dear Aunt Sundi to five loving nieces, Christine Tarullo, Julianne Tarullo-Pinell (Blake), Diana Vose-Rupprecht (Jeffrey), Lauren Vose and Jeana Vose.
Sundi passed while facing added complications with the same courage and grace she carried throughout her life.
Family and friends will be received on THURSDAY, February 20th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the William F. Conroy Funeral Home, Inc., Burial and Cremation Services, 2944 Chartiers Ave., Sheraden. Funeral mass will be held in St. Philip Church, Crafton on Friday at 10 AM.
