Rosemary E. Duffy

Age 83 of Crafton, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 21, 2023. She is the daughter of the late Hugh and Marion Duffy. Rosemary’s family moved from Canonsburg, PA when she was five years old to Crafton where she would live for over 75 years.

Rosemary received her undergraduate degree in education from Duquesne University and a master’s degree in education from the University of Pittsburgh.  She began her professional career teaching elementary aged children. After receiving her master’s degree, she worked for the Greater Pittsburgh Area YWCA until she retired in 2002. Years following, she cared for several children on a day-to-day basis.

The loving mother of Edward Twyman II, Hugh Twyman (Emanuela), Beth Phillips (Mark), Noel Twyman (Theresa), and John Twyman. Grandmother of Shannon, Skyler, Mae, Tessa, Hannah, Luke, Kate, Mark, Amelia, and Elizabeth. She had other family and relatives mostly living out of state. It must be mentioned though - she was very close to her three nieces, Carol and Amy Schantz, and Linda Jones (Jeff).

Her family and loved ones will forever remember her unconditional love, kindness, and support, as well as the loveliness and frequency of her beautiful smile.

A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, September 2nd at 10 AM at St. Philip Catholic Church, 50  W. Crafton Ave., Crafton Arrangements by the William F. Conroy Funeral Home, Inc. Sheraden. 412-331-5192
