Rosemarie Herrmann Obituary

Rosemarie Toski Herrmann, 93, of McCandless Township, Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully at her home on December 22, 2025, surrounded in prayer by her loving daughter, Cindy. Rose was born on January 5, 1932, in Troy Hill on Pittsburgh’s North Side to the late Chester and Mary Toski.

Rose graduated from Allegheny High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh.  Rose met the love of her life, Al Herrmann Jr., in May 1950. They were married November 18th of that same year at Saint Nicholas Catholic Church.  They shared 66 blessed years together before Al’s passing in 2017.

Rose’s passion for people and dynamic go getter personality led her to a career in Real Estate. Rose excelled and quickly became a Real Estate icon. She touched the lives of countless people as her name was passed down through generations of clients. Rose was consistently ranked in the Top 5 Producers in Multi List for 20 years and the Multi-Million Dollar Club.  Over the course of her 40-year career, she got her Brokers license and held prominent roles at several leading Real Estate firms in the North Hills.

In high demand, Rose continued her career well into her eighties. When she wasn’t listing and selling, she was often jet setting around the world with her husband and best friend. Rose could relate to anyone, and make them feel like they were the most special person in the room, because at that moment, to her, they were. Her inquisitive nature was surely a gift from God. A woman of deep Catholic faith, Rose instilled those values in her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her warmth, grace, convictions and unwavering dedication for those she loved. Her greatest accomplishment and deepest pride was her family. She spent much of her last years playing military, wiffle ball and cars with her great grandsons, she had a child like spark that never left.

Rosemarie is survived by her children: Marty Herrmann (Jane) of Des Moines, Iowa; Cindy Herrmann of Pittsburgh; Dan Herrmann of Atlanta, Georgia; and Michael Herrmann of Chicago, Illinois; eight grandchildren (Libby, Michael, Erica, Matthew, Hallie, Hannah, Heather, Madison); nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Chester, Donald and her sister Maryann as well as many beloved family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in her honor on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Aidan’s Parish, Saint Alexis Church, 10090 Old Perry Hwy, Wexford. Family, friends, and all who knew and loved her are warmly invited to attend. Everyone Please Meet at Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Aidan’s Church or to a Catholic charity of the donor’s choice.

May she rest in eternal peace with Jesus and have a beautiful Christmas reunited with Al.
