RICHARD J. PIERCE

Age 81, of Stowe Township, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2023. Richard was born on July 26, 1941 to Joseph and Josephine Pierce in Stowe Township. He served proudly in the Army as a Military Police K9 Dog Trainer and as a Police Officer serving  the Kennedy Township community for 23 years. He enjoyed sports, his dog and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his children Stacy Pierce (Karey Pogonovich), Kimberly Mackey (Robert Montgomery), and his Grandchildren,  Jamie Mackey (Travis Mitchell), Kellie Mackey and Nicole Pogonovich Knotts (Cameron), and Great Grandchild Wyatt Knotts. He is also survived by his partner of 40 years, Rose Bible.

A memorial gathering will be held on THURSDAY, February 16th from 10:00-11:30 AM at the William F. Conroy Funeral Home, Inc. 2944 Chartiers Ave., Sheraden. A blessing service will be held at 11:30 AM. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, McKees Rocks. Memorial donations may be made to the Benevolent Fund, F.O.P. Fort Pitt Lodge, #1, 1428 Banksville, Rd., Pittsburgh, PA  15216.
