MICHAEL R. SCHALDENBRAND
Age 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Husband of the late Karen Lee Schaldenbrand; father of Charles J., Jeffrey M., Matthew S., and Michael J. Schaldenbrand; brother of Alice Gantzer, and Edward Schaldenbrand, Maureen Vignale, and the late Elizabeth Fredland and Richard and Charles Schaldenbrand. Grandfather of Stone, Kaylee, Samuel, and Lincoln Schaldenbrand.
Mike served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was the recipient of the Bronze Star. He belonged to Boilermakers Local 154 and a fan of all the Pittsburgh professional sports teams. Mike leaves behind many family and friends who will treasure his memory and he will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Family and friends are welcomed Wednesday, May 27th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the William F. Conroy Funeral Home, Inc., Burial and Cremation Services, 2944 Chartiers Avenue, Sheraden. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM in St. Philip Parish, Ascension Church, 114 Berry Street, Pittsburgh, 15205. Mike will be laid to rest with military honors in Resurrection Cemetery.
