Marilyn J. “Molly” (Yakelis)

On December 17, 2020, at the age of 84, died at home, peacefully surrounded by many friends and family.  The daughter of the late William and Josephine (Jackie) Yakelis.  Beloved mother of Joni Devlin (Frank) Zarka and Nicole Mercurio.  Nana to Nick (Diandre), Alex, and Elizabeth Zarka, Ava Mercurio – Brennan and Olivia Mercurio – Brennan.  Survived by many cousins and in-laws.

Molly enjoyed most of her life as a well known and loved waitress throughout the city of Pittsburgh.  In her later years, was the co-owner of Molly O’s Bar and Grill.  She was a loved and respected business owner and lifelong resident of Sheraden.

A blessing service will be held at the William F. Conroy Funeral Home, Inc., 2944 Chartiers Avenue, Sheraden on Friday, September 3rd at 6:00 p.m.  Following the blessing service, A Celebration of Life reception will be held at the residence of her daughter, Nicole (the former location of Molly O’s Bar and Grill), 3128 Chartiers Aveune, Sheraden, 15204.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1101 Western Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pa, 15233 (Humaneanimalrescue.org).
