Age 91, formerly of Sheraden, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018.  Beloved husband of the Mary M. (Wisniewski) Murphy; father of  Joseph, Jr. (Colleen), John (the late Deborah), Daniel (Robbin), Martin (Marilyn) Murphy, Mary Ann (Ron) Fischer, Patrick and James Murphy; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  Joe was the last of eight siblings. He  served in the Navy during WWII and was a City of Pittsburgh Firefighter for over 30 years and was the owner of Investigative Photography.

Friends received MONDAY 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the WILLIAM F. CONROY FUNERAL HOME, 2944 Chartiers Ave., Sheraden.  Funeral Mass at Ascension Worship Site of St. Philip R.C. Church on Tuesday at 12noon. Burial with military honors will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, www.stjude.org.
