A devoted father and husband was reunited in heaven with his wife of 65 years, Martha Ann on Saturday, March 20, 2021. His legacy is continued by his 7 children, Cynthia M.(late Harry Larkin), John C.(Sandra),David C.(late Kimberly), Mark D.(Virginia), Jeffrey L.(Shirley), Gregory P.(Karen) and Matthew L.(Claire) Stevans. He was proud of his 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John J. and Yolanda E. Stevans and a brother, Andrew L. and wife, Louise Stevans. Surviving siblings include, Norman D. (Eileen), Paul W. (Grace), Daniel H. (Veronica), and Johann Gray(late Thomas). He was loved by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Stevans worked for the Mon-Con R.R. at J&L Steel in Southside until retirement. His greatest pleasure was gardening and sharing the bounty with his family and friends. His service is private and a Memorial Mass will be scheduled for a later date.
