John “Jack” T. Kania, 66, of Ingram, passed away peacefully at his home on September 30, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family and close friends. Born November 28, 1958, in Pittsburgh, he was the beloved son of Elizabeth “Betty” Kania and the late Joseph Kania.
Jack was happiest in the outdoors—whether he was hunting, fishing, or camping under the stars. A true car enthusiast, Jack found great joy in building hot rods, restoring classic cars, and sharing his passion at local car shows.
He leaves behind his devoted mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Kania; his sister, JoAnn Davis; and his two sons, Joshua Kania and Joseph Kania (Katharine Perry). He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Kania. He will also be deeply missed by his extended family, his many lifelong friends, and the community of fellow car enthusiasts who became like family over the years.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jack’s life on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. at William F. Conroy Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral & Cremation Services, 2944 Chartiers Avenue, Sheraden. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jack’s memory to Commonwealth Hospice, 4955 Steubenville Pike, Suite 125, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
Jack’s legacy of kindness, friendship, and passion for life will continue to shine through the stories, laughter, and memories shared by all who knew him. The family would like to thank Commonwealth Hospice for their kindness, compassion, and support.
