LEBO
Cody J.
Age 33, of Polish Hill, on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. Born and raised in McSherrystown,
Pennsylvania, Cody grew up with a passion for the outdoors and was a dedicated Scout and
Revolutionary War reenactor before moving to Pittsburgh to study film in 2005. Cody spent
the next 15 years as a beloved part of the community in both Pittsburgh and Seneca Rocks,
West Virginia, as a certified wilderness first responder, youth educator, maple tree tapper,
carpenter, bicycle enthusiast, and restaurant industry veteran. When he wasn’t working
behind the scenes, Cody lent his voice and undeniable presence to punk rock—grabbing a
microphone and jumping off the stage as soon as he walked onto it. He had a square jaw,
tough hands, and a tender heart. Cody will be dearly missed by his loving mother, Carolyn E. Lebo,
extended family, and a forever grateful family of friends. Per Cody’s wishes, no services will
be held. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Cody’s memory to Tree Pittsburgh the UPMC
Hillman Cancer Center —or just head outside and safely enjoy a beautiful day.
