We, too, will miss Jim very much. H was a wonderful member and an asset for Peoples Oakland. He was one the best speakers and often would participate on our panels speaking to college students about his experiences. The students and professors always said they learned a great deal and appreciated his willingness to help them. All of us, his many friends are thinking of him and you.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was friends with Jim for as long as I can remember, since we were children. A good guy and a great friend. I will miss him so much. I was just kidding him a few weeks ago about beating me to the 60 year mark recently. I am glad we had such a lighthearted talk then, and it is how I will remember him, laughing and happy. I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night. Rest easy my friend.
